The Glendale cafe sits on San Fernando Road in Tropico, and its matcha menu runs from a plain unsweetened latte through the House Matcha with agave, the Banana Cream Matcha under banana chips, and a Matchacano that drops milk entirely for water and a single origin ceremonial matcha. Pandan Matcha is one we would come for: ceremonial matcha over a house pandan syrup, poured with milk and finished with a pandan leaf. The pastry case here is run by Nonna, where Santa Monica leans on the Sugarbloom program, and the Turon Banana Latte on the coffee side is worth knowing about if somebody in your group is skipping matcha. Doors open at 7am on weekdays and 8am at weekends, closing at 7pm every day. Glendale has quietly filled up with good coffee, and this stretch of San Fernando is an easy one to add to a Tropico morning.
