Huntington Beach is the newest Amai and the only one in Orange County, opened on Beach Boulevard in the unit Chip Cookies used to occupy. The matcha section leads the menu here, with Mango Sticky Matcha over coconut cream, Banana Cream Matcha under banana chips, and the House Matcha sweetened with agave for anyone who wants the easy version. What sets this one apart is how much of the board goes to drinks with no coffee in them at all. Alongside the matcha there are milk teas, fruit teas, blended drinks and a refreshers section that runs to a Galaxy Lemonade, which makes it the Amai we would pick when a group is split on caffeine. It is a young shop and the published hours disagree with each other, so a mid-morning arrival is the safe read, and the ceremonial matcha is the same organic tea poured at the other three.
