Dirty Latte Co. is the Los Angeles coffee and matcha operation that turned adding espresso into its own vocabulary. Order any drink dirty for one shot, extra dirty for two, or filthy for three. It runs as a mobile cart and a branded van across LA, Long Beach and Orange County, and its first permanent space is on the way at the Water Garden in Santa Monica. The menu leans Filipino and the matcha list is where it gets good. Matcha Mami is the ceremonial-grade vanilla version, Strawberry Matcha and Matcha-Nana come with fruit puree, and Matcha-Cano strips it back to matcha and water. The one we love is The Animal, which layers matcha over the shop's signature Ube Leche, a Filipino purple yam drink built on sweetened condensed creamer and oat milk, and it was created by a friend of the owners named An. Around them sit Buko Pandan Leche made with young coconut and pandan leaves, Cocoa Abuelita on Mexican cocoa, and Hun-Tea, a masala chai with honey and lavender. Every matcha comes hot at twelve ounces or iced at sixteen, with oat or whole milk, an extra scoop of matcha for a dollar, and a sweetness dial that runs from no syrup to extra sweet. The cart has been pouring at the Water Garden since 2022, and the team spent three years at West Edge in West LA before closing out that run in April 2026. A branded van joined at the end of 2025 and now caters private events. The house coffee is single-origin Brazilian, roasted medium-dark, sold by the twelve-ounce bag as The Bag.
