Layla Bagels

Layla's second shop took the South Beverly Drive space that Umami Burger left behind, putting hand-rolled sourdough and ceremonial grade matcha into the middle of the Beverly Hills lunch blocks. It was the brand's first expansion beyond Ocean Park. The matcha board is identical across all three Layla shops, which we think is the right call for a menu this seasonal. The Minty Melon Matcha runs on Munak Farms watermelon and Weiser Farms bonny melon juice, the Strawberry Matcha Latte on a house syrup, and the Cream Top Matcha is an iced latte under house cream. The Strawberry Special is what to eat beside it, a strawberry bagel with whipped white peach cream cheese and strawberry topping. The Spicy Flight brings three smoked paprika mini bagels with hatch green chili and habanero cream cheeses if the morning needs waking up.
