Maru Coffee

The Arts District room sits on South Santa Fe, in the part of the neighborhood where the warehouses have all become something else and the coffee is thick on the ground. Maru holds its own in that company by doing less. The current matcha menu is a latte or straight matcha tea, with milk choice handled as a customization rather than a separate drink. The space is pared back and analog, which after a walk through the Arts District is a relief. Bags of the Sanmi Blend and the current seasonal release are on the shelf. We come here when the plan involves galleries afterwards, and the plain matcha tea is what we take out the door.
