The Koreatown Memorylook on West Olympic is the original, the bricks-and-mortar shop Nick Kim opened in 2022 after two years of selling eyewear online. The matcha einspanner is the signature, matcha under a cap of cool fluffy cream, with fancy donuts from Flour Premium Doughnut at the counter beside it. The entrance is on Kenmore Avenue, not Olympic, which catches people out, and the room inside is sleek and modern with the eyewear retail running alongside the cafe. We treat it as a two-errand stop, matcha in one hand and a new pair of frames on the way out. Koreatown has plenty of matcha and only one of these.
