Miss Cheese Tea Cafe

Pasadena is the original Miss Cheese, open since 2019 on South Arroyo Parkway, and it is still the busiest of the three by a wide margin. Step off the Metro A Line at Del Mar Station and it is right in front of you, which we think is about as easy as a boba stop gets. This is the address where the kitchen goes furthest. The crispy popcorn chicken is served here and at neither of the other two, and the dessert board is where the souffle pancakes really live, with the Lava Flow Boba Souffle and the mille crepes the two that get photographed most. The matcha runs the full series: a Strawberry and a Mango Matcha over smashed fruit, a Taro Matcha Milk Tea, and the Matcha Taro Cloud under taro foam. Check the day before you go, because this one closes on Tuesdays, and Sunday is the late night, running to midnight while the rest of the week stops at 7pm. Alfred Coffee is a short walk north on Colorado for a second stop.
