RE: Out of Office Coffee

RE: Out of Office Coffee is a corner room on Melrose, small enough that it works on regulars, and it has built a real following on espresso and matcha done carefully. The signature lattes are the draw, unusual builds that still come out balanced, and the matcha they use is a premium grade, well above what a shop this size could get away with. The strawberry matcha is the one people order, and the matcha financier is the pastry to get with it. Local pastries round out the counter, with juices and teas alongside them, and the menu shifts with the seasons, so there is usually something on that was not there last time. The patio is tucked into the corner and shaded, which makes it pleasant most of the year and windy when Melrose traffic picks up. We take the strawberry matcha and a financier and sit outside anyway.
