Re:Coffee runs on a three-word idea it prints everywhere: rediscover, reconnect, recharge. The colon in the name is doing real work. The signatures are cream tops, a house-made cream sitting over the drink underneath. The Pistachio Matcha is the one to know, ceremonial grade matcha with milk and vanilla syrup under pistachio cream with pistachios on top, and it is the argument the whole board rests on. Beyond that the matcha runs a lemonade, a latte, an einspanner and plain matcha tea, with hojicha getting its own latte and einspanner. They roast locally, and the Cherry Crumbs espresso blend and an Ethiopia Shakiso single origin sit on the retail shelf. There is a run club attached, which tells you what kind of room it is. Two Valley locations carry the name so far, in Northridge and Woodland Hills, with Pasadena and North Hollywood announced. We would go for the Pistachio Matcha and stay for whoever is talking about their splits.
