Tea Master Matcha Cafe & Green Tea Shop

Tea Master sits on East 2nd Street in Little Tokyo, and Japanese tea has been sold from this same store for over a decade, with the cafe half opening in 2014. Owner Daigoro is a native of Tokyo and a student of the Edosenke school of the Japanese tea ceremony, and every drink is whisked fresh to order. The matcha soft serve is what pulls the crowd and the queue can stretch, though the whisked drinks are where the craft actually shows. We would take both. Midori Matcha and Okayama Kobo are minutes away on foot, which makes Little Tokyo the most concentrated matcha neighborhood in the city for its size.
