The Little Marionette

The Little Marionette started as a hole-in-the-wall cafe in Sydney and has grown into one of Australia's leading specialty roasters, with sister roasteries in the UK and France and now an outpost on Motor Avenue in Palms. The beans are roasted by hand on a refurbished vintage Probat, which the company describes as a labor of love and which gives their coffee its particular character. Australian-style espresso drinks anchor the coffee side, with drip and rotating single origins behind them. The matcha earns its own mention. It comes out smooth without needing sugar, and the strawberry matcha is the one regulars talk about. The room is bright and minimal with limited seating indoors and out, and we treat it as a quick and excellent stop.
