Urth came to South Beverly Drive in 2002 as the third cafe in the group, eight years after Melrose. It keeps the long hours the flagship cafes do, 7 am to 10 pm through the week and to 11 pm on Friday and Saturday. A 10 pm close is the thing we would plan around here, because a ceremonial grade matcha at nine in the evening is a rare offer in Beverly Hills. The Wazuka matcha is the same across every Urth, grown on the Entsu Estate in the district where Japanese tea began. Order the Green Rose Latté or the Strawberry Matcha, or the Matcha Bebero if you want it lighter. The Rising Sun Matcha Latté brings espresso into the cup for a heavier lift.
