Alfred's Ventura Place cafe opens at 6 am, the earliest door in the group, and carries the highest customer rating of any Los Angeles Alfred on the brand's own listings. It sits just off Ventura Boulevard, a few minutes from Café Matcha, the espresso-free spinoff Alfred opened in Studio City in late 2025. Having the two within a walk of each other makes Studio City our pick for a matcha morning. Alfred's retail tins are a custom blend made for it by Café Matcha and milled in Kyotanabe in Kyoto Prefecture, so the two rooms are pouring from the same lineage. That 6 am opening also makes this the first Alfred matcha available anywhere in the city on a given day.
