The Scoop
Alfred landed on Abbot Kinney at the end of January 2021, taking the 1,110 square foot corner where Humphrey Slocombe used to scoop ice cream. It was the brand's eleventh Southern California cafe, and the design nods to Muscle Beach down the road with eighties graphics, pastel tiling in coastal shades and the light-up signage Alfred puts in every room. The Muscle Beach styling is our favorite of any Alfred room. Doors open at 6:30 am and close at 4 pm, the shortest day in the group, which suits a walk down Abbot Kinney before the boulevard fills up.
