Cafe Fever

The room is on Artesia Boulevard, and it works as a bakery first and a cafe second, which is the right order given what comes out of the oven. The scone case is the reason to make the drive. A plain matcha scone, one with pistachio and white chocolate, one with red bean and butter, and one with raspberry jam and butter. Basque cheesecake and cookies sit alongside them. The matcha board is unusually long for a bakery. The organic matcha cloud, organic double matcha, ceremonial grade latte, matcha tonic, strawberry matcha, blueberry matcha latte, and strawberry coconut matcha cloud all appear, along with the matcha ruby, matcha s'more, and forest cream latte. Everything is built on ceremonial-grade organic matcha, unrefined organic cane sugar and butter from New Zealand and France, which you can taste in a scone before anybody tells you. We would order the ruby and buy scones for later.
