Goodboybob opened on Venice Boulevard in July 2026 inside the Deus Ex Machina building, sharing the room with a store built around motorcycles and surfing. It is the newest of the LA shops and the only one that lives inside somebody else's space. Erich Joiner kept the room almost as he found it, which is the decision we like most here: the concrete bar, the white wall tile and the repurposed wood all stayed, and the additions were high-top tables and patio umbrellas. The bar stays open to the shop floor around it. The matcha is the same stone-ground Spirit Tea leaf the other shops pour, in the Volcanic Matcha with its vanilla bean cream and volcanic black salt, and in the Guava Lava Matcha on house-made guava and marzipan syrup.
