Rōk is women-owned and built around ceremonial-grade matcha sourced from Uji. The name comes from chorok, the Korean word for green. It goes for a strong profile deliberately, so the matcha arrives forward and grassy, with dessert-style drinks built on that base. Five Los Angeles rooms are open: Olympic Boulevard and Wilshire Boulevard in Koreatown, Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake, Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, and South Central Avenue in Little Tokyo. The branch menus overlap but are not identical. Studio City carries a concise five-drink selection, while Olympic, Wilshire, Silver Lake, and Little Tokyo each add their own combinations from the Duo, latte, einspanner, yuzu, mango-coconut, and Matchacano range.
