The Little Marionette

The Little Marionette's Los Angeles room is on Motor Avenue in Palms, the American outpost of a roaster that started as a hole-in-the-wall cafe in Sydney. The beans are roasted by hand on a refurbished vintage Probat, described by the company as a labor of love, and that is what gives the coffee its particular character. The matcha earns its own mention. It comes out smooth without needing sugar, and the strawberry matcha is the one regulars talk about. The room is bright and minimal with limited seating indoors and out, so we treat it as a quick and excellent stop on the way through Palms.
